Burnt Out

I'm truly becoming burnt out. Approaching the point of exaustion. My job as an electric meter reader pays very well and i enjoy it more than any other job i've ever had. But it's beginning to take a toll on my body. Around Thursday or Friday of every week I feel like an old man. I feel myself moving slower, my muscles constantly ache and the heat is increasing by the day.

If you don't count National holidays I've only taken one day off in the last 7 months. So despite the recent struggles, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I get 2 weeks of vacation and through a program at work I was able to buy an extra week of vacation. June 19-23 me and Woody will head to Oklahoma to back up the worship band at Camp Minnetonka and I'll be off the entire week of July 4th for reasons TBD.

Also pray for me. My supervisor approached me with an opportunity that might solve my 'burnt out' problems. Apparently some rules are changing with the PUC and will open doors for me to move up to a different position. No more walking 5-10 miles a day! We'll see what happens...

Is There a Bit of Confusion?

Does the way we dress have anything to do with our reverence towards God?

Or does it have everything to do with what's inside our heart...

I think we will have a church with members that are filled with the spirit if we walk away from what's ritualistic and start focusing on the heart.

Was the law given to us so we could try to be perfect and walk the straight and narrow? Only to continue to fail and birth a deep frustration in our soul?

Or was it given to us so that we'd fail and realize that we need Jesus more than anything in this world.

If we cling to the law and rituals that were taught us by man...our hearts will grow colder and colder. We must follow the steps of Jesus...
